Is Valve about to unleash GLaDOS for real?

Is Valve about to unleash GLaDOS for real to build new Steam Controllers? Although the new Steam Machines are produced or constructed by companies including Alienware, Maingear, Materiel, Scan, Syber and Zotac, Valve decided to construct the Steam Controllers for themselves.

And to do that they have built one of the largest fully-automated assembly lines in the U.S, as they show off in this video.

Valve may claim that they have kept humans on hand to keep the robots from becoming sentient, but we’re not convinced.

After all, GLaDOS was originally meant to be an artificial intelligence and research assistant before she became corrupted and used a neurotoxin on the scientists at the Aperture Science research facility. Can we really be sure this won’t end up as a grueling test of survival in a joypad factory with only the lure of cake to keep us going?

Hopefully Ellen McLain has voiced any updates and announcements in the factory to add to the ambience… How many Aperture logos can you spot in the video?

After all…
‘The Enrichment Center is committed to the well being of all participants. Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all.’
