Wonder Woman Comic-Con Trailer

24th July 2016 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

Check out almost three minutes of action released in the new Wonder Woman Comic-Con Trailer. It’ll be released on June 2nd, 2017, so there’s still a fair amount before it arrives in the cinema. But the trailer looks pretty good, with Gal Gadot as Diana / Wonder Woman, and Chris Pine playing Steve Trevor. The pain of having one of the dullest names in comics is probably mitigated by being the love interest of Wonder Woman.

Filming finished  in May 2016, with locations including London, France and the Basilicata region of Southern Italy. The ghost town of Craco may be the possible location for the Wonder Woman island of Themyscira. In addition to the Warner Bros studios at Leavesden, other UK film locations include Southend in Essex, and Lower Halstow in Kent. It also looks like they might have filmed at Chatham Dockyard judging by the chalk cliffs in the background of one scene.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, who previously directed documentary film Monster and was Emmy-nominated for the pilot of the U.S version of TV series The Killing.

New Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice TV Spot

10th January 2016 By Dan Thornton Leave a Comment

In case you haven’t seen enough trailers and promos for the Zack Snyder-helmed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to keep you going until it’s released on March 25th, 2016, here’s the a new TV spot.

It mainly shows what happens when the new, sleeker Batmobile encounters a Man of Steel stood in the road. In addition to the Ben Affleck Batman and Henry Cavill Superman, the film will not only include Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, but also the first live action appearances for Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and an appearance by The Flash, played by Ezra Miller rather than the TV series actor Grant Gustin.

As with the rival Marvel universe, the DC Extended Universe is setting up future projects, including movies for The Flash (2018), Aquaman (2018) and Cyborg (2020). Plus the forthcoming Wonder Woman (2017), and the Justice League Part One (2017) and Part Two (2019) which will both also be directed by Snyder. And the next standalone Batman film which should arrive at some point between 2016-2020 starring, co-written and directed by Ben Affleck.

The first in the series was the Superman reboot Man of Steel, which was directed by Snyder and received mixed reviews when it was released in 2013.
