The first official trailer for the Assassin’s Creed film starring Michael Fassbender has now been released. It is due for release in December 2016, and sees Fassbender play Callum Lynch, who experiences the adventures of Aguilar, his 15th Century Spanish ancestor.

It’s directed by Australian Justin Kurzel, whose previous works include Snowtown and Macbeth (also with Fassbender and Cotillard). Assassin’s Creed also stars Marion Cotillard, Michael K Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson. It was filmed on location in Malta, London and Spain.
