Videogame movie tie-ins aren’t always the best experience. But there’s reason to be hopeful about the new Fast & Furious game revealed at the Video Game Awards.
Fast & Furious Crossroads is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios, mostly known for their Project Cars series. So the company know how to make more serious driving games and detailed handling.

Fans of the movie series will also be pleased to know Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson will be appearing as Dom, Letty and Roman in the game. Although it will focus on an expanded universe, and as a result, the cast also includes Sonequa Martin-Green and Asia Kate Dillon.
There’s going to be a story mode, and the action will be apparently focused on a ‘team-based, vehicular-heist’ game. Which sounds interesting.
The only downside so far has been that it’s not the most impressive game graphically for the current generation of consoles. But make up your own mind by taking a look at the trailer.
You’ll be able to make up your own mind in May 2020, when Fast & Furious Crossroads will be released alongside the Fast & Furious 9 film. It’ll be available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and you can already register for a pre-order at Game.
